By when/where should I deliver my vehicle/s to?
The cut-off date for vehicle delivery to the respective Ports in Port Klang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Labuan is 2 working days before vessel ETA, (excluding vessel ETA day, Sundays & Public Holidays due to restricted working hours). Examples below:

How long does it take for customs clearance in East Malaysia?
It takes 1-2 working days for customs clearance after the vessel ETA date in East Malaysia.
What is the type of documentation required for customs clearance?
  1. Identity Card (front & back)
  2. Vehicle Registration Card (front & back)
  3. Bank Release Letter ( for vehicles still under finance)
What is the Document Submission Cut-Off-Date?
Documents must be submitted 5 working days before the vessel ETA (excluding vessel ETA day, Sundays & Public Holidays), for accurate and timely processing of customs clearance. GMG will not be responsible for delays, additional charges or human errors which may be caused by late submission of documents. Examples below:

Is my vehicle covered by Marine Insurance?
All vehicles will be insured against total loss only.
When should I make payment?
Payment must be made before the vessel departure from the port.
Do you provide delivery to other locations other than East Malaysia?
Our vessels do call into the Ports of Singapore, Laem Chabang (Thailand) and Jakarta (Indonesia), therefore we can arrange for delivery of vehicles to these ports. Although our vessels do not make calls at other International Ports for the time being, we have the capabilities and network, and are happy to make the necessary arrangements for your vehicle/s to be delivered to any destination worldwide.
Will I be able to claim for loss of any personal items in the vehicle?
Customers are advised to remove all personal belongings from the vehicle/s.

What are your rates?
Rates vary according to the type of services required and the cargo type in question. Should you wish to engage in our services and require a quotation, please proceed to our Home Page and click on the ‘Get Quotation’ button on the top right corner of the screen. You will be requested to fill up the required information and to select services from a menu. Once you have placed a request, a personnel will provide you with a quote.
What is the cut-off date for me to provide documents to you, if I require customs clearance services?
To ensure accurate and orderly processing of clearance, the Documentation Cut-Off Date is 5 working days prior to the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of our vessel into the respective port (excluding Sundays & Public Holidays).

Do you provide customs clearance for all other types of general cargo?
Yes. We provide customs clearance services for all general cargo bound for import into Malaysia and export out of Malaysia.
Do you provide customs clearance services for ports outside of Malaysia?
Yes, we can arrange for customs clearances services for all ports worldwide.
Do you provide custom clearance services for containers?
Yes. We provide customs clearance for the import and export of containers.
What are your rates?
Land Transportation rates are dependent on the type of vehicle/s, point of collection and delivery, the number of units, insurance coverage, dedicated or non-dedicated collection, as well as the type of car carrier requested.
What does “Dedicated” and “Non-dedicated” mean?
“Dedicated” means the carrier will be assigned without a load to the destination for vehicle collection, similar to the term of “Chartered”. “Non-dedicated” means the allocated carrier will carry a load and will have to off-load other vehicles prior to reaching the destination for another vehicle collection.
Can we get a discount?
Our rates are standard, however, we are open to discussion depending on the type of collection (dedicated or non-dedicated), volume and frequency.
What is the expected delivery time of my vehicle/s at the delivery location?
If your collection and delivery addresses are within the Klang Valley, your vehicle will be delivered within 24 hours from the confirmation of your booking and assignment to a driver. However, if either your collection or delivery address is located outside of Klang Valley, then it takes 1 day (for dedicated) or 2 days (for non-dedicated). From the time your booking has been confirmed.
May I obtain driver details prior to the collection and/or delivery of my vehicle/s?
Yes, while your vehicle is under our care, it is covered by Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance.
What if my vehicle is damaged in the process of being transported?
While under our care, your vehicle is covered by the Goods In Transit (GIT) Insurance and you will be compensated in accordance to the terms and conditions of the policy.
Will I be entitled to any compensation if there is any delay in delivering the vehicle?
It depends on the Terms and Conditions and agreement/acceptance between parties stipulated in the quotation that require a time sensitive delivery to be met, otherwise, based on standard T&C, delays will not be included/compensated in any situation
Will I be able to claim for loss of any personal items in the vehicle?
Customers are advised to remove all personal belongings from the vehicle.
Are your drivers properly trained to drive my vehicle/s onto the car carrier?
Yes. All our Car Carrier Captains are trained and possess the knowledge and expertise to drive the vehicle/s onto the car carrier and to secure the vehicle/s while being transported.

What is the difference in price between using a single car carrier and a rigid or articulated car carrier?
Price of delivery very much depending on the total volume, distance to the destination, number of units to be carried per trip & etc.  Please contact us for a quotation and our team will be pleased to advice accordingly
Do I have to deliver the car or can I have the car collected from my place of convenience?
We provide door-to-door services that include the collection, transportation and delivery of vehicles. Please contact us for a quotation.
Is there a difference in price if you collect the car or me sending the vehicle to you?
It is depend on the distance for collection, of course there will be price difference between door to door collection vs own delivery/collection in this case.
Can I accompany the driver if I transport my vehicle using a single car carrier?
It will be not advisable to accompany along as our fleet insurance did not cover for unauthorised passenger on board when accident happened
Do you deliver to all parts of Malaysia?
Yes. We deliver nationwide, including Sabah & Sarawak.
Do you have flatbed transporters?
Yes. Our single-car carriers are a flatbed.
Do you transport trucks?
We transport passenger cars, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles.
How long does it take you to transport a motorcycle?
It will be same day for local (Within Klang Valley or 110km radius from our Operation Base), next day for outstation (exceeding 110KM radius from our Operation Base).
Any restriction on the type of vehicle?
We carry all new/used vehicles that include sedan, window van, SUV, MPV, 4x4, light and medium sized trucks and luxury models, sports cars and supercars. We do not carry wrecked vehicles and vehicles that are meant for racing purposes in general.
What is the payment term and mode?
Our term is cash for new customers. Repeat and frequent customers however, can apply for 30 days credit term upon submission of the appropriate documentation for management evaluation and approval.
What is GCT?
Giga Car Terminal (GCT) is a facility at Westport for the storage, import, export and trans-shipment of vehicles imported into or exported out of Malaysia.
How big is GCT
GCT is a 44.5 acre facility.
How many vehicles can GCT accommodate at any one time?
GCT has the capacity to handle up to 8,000 vehicles at any one time.
What type of vehicle is handled by GCT?
GCT is equipped to handle all passenger vehicles, motorcycles and commercial vehicles.
Where is GCT located?
GCT is located at Westport in Klang.
What is GCT’s operating hours?
GCT operates Mondays to Saturdays from 8.30am to 5.00pm. GCT is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Are there any free storage days at GCT?
Yes, free storage days are provided under the Open Yard Storage category only.
  1. Import : 3 days of free storage under the Open Yard. Storage charges will then be incurred, beginning from the 1st day of receiving the unit at the storage yard, IF it exceeds the free storage period.
  2. Export : 7 days of free storage under the Open Yard. Storage charges will be incurred, beginning from the 8th day of receiving the unit at the storage yard, IF it exceeds the free storage period
What are the documents required before collection of my vehicle at GCT?
  1. Customs Form & Duty Receipt duly passed and endorsed by Malaysian Customs (Original to be sighted and a Copy will be required).
  2. Integrated Import Document (IID) duly endorsed by the Shipping Line (Original Required).
  3. Approved Permit (AP) (Original to be sighted and a Copy will be required).
What is the time for me to collect my car from GCT at Westport?
If all your documentation is in order, Westport authorities will allow vehicles to leave the port up until 8.00pm. With prior approval, requested a day earlier or before 5.00pm on the same day (in case of unforeseen circumstances), you may obtain approval for your vehicle to be taken out of Westport until 10.00pm.
What are the charges that may be incurred at GCT?

What do I need to enter Westport?
Occasional Visitors can apply for a visitor's pass at the main gate. You will need to provide your Identity Card or MyKad for this. If you have entered Westport more than 2 times using a visitor pass, you will be required to apply for a permanent port pass. Permanent Port Pass Holders will need a car sticker to drive their vehicles into Westport.
How do I apply for a permanent Port Pass?
  1. The Port Pass will cost RM10 for Malaysians and RM30 for foreigners (subject to change by Westport authorities).
  2. Proceed to the Security Office at the Main Gate.
  3. Fill in a form.
  4. Attend a Safety Briefing by Port Security Officers which will take approximately 45 minutes
  5. Apply for your pass at the counter.
  6. Your photo will be taken at the Port office (at no charge).
How do I apply for a car sticker?
  1. The Car Sticker will costs RM5 (subject to change by Westport authorities)
  2. Proceed to the security office at the main gate
  3. Fill in a form
  4. Apply for the Car Sticker at the counter.
  5. Bring along a copy of your Car Registration Card or a copy of your Road Tax Sticker.
What are the documents required for my vehicle to be taken out of Westport?
  1. Westports Gate Pass (3 originals - issued by GCT)
  2. GCT Delivery Note (1 original - issued by GCT)
  3. Customs Form (1 copy - from your Forwarding Agent)
What is the validity period of the Port Pass and Car Sticker?
Both the Port Pass and Car Sticker is valid for One (1) Year.
Do I have to attend the safety briefing again when applying for a new Port Pass the following year?
Yes, it is compulsory to attend the safety briefing each year
Will my vehicle be safe at GCT?
Yes, GCT offers customers a secured and safe storage facility with around-the-clock security and surveillance.
Will I be able to claim for loss of any personal items in the vehicle?
Customers are advised to remove all personal belongings from the vehicle/s.
